(Updated)"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In his <em>Confessions<\/em>, Augustine wrote this on the subject of &#8220;time&#8221;: \u201cI understand well enough what time is, so long as no one asks me.\u201d &nbsp;In the same way, we recognize leadership but find it hard to define. <\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8220;Leadership&#8221; takes different forms in different circumstances, and it has many components. &nbsp;The best leaders are also good followers. The actual text of an 18<sup>th<\/sup>-century former slave&#8217;s memoir forms the bones of this poetic account of an extraordinary life story. A moving verse novel of surviving the Holocaust to build a new life after the allied invasion.
